Dr. Johnny Alvarado started teaching in Sanger Unified in 1995 and spent the next three decades in Central Valley schools as a teacher, principal, county office director, chief academic officer and assistant superintendent. He holds a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate from Fresno State.

How long is it?

One day. Every seminar on the calendar is a single Saturday, start to finish.

What are the hours?

In person: check-in opens at 8:00 AM and the day runs 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The virtual seminars run 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern.

Who teaches it?

Rick Dahlgren teaches every seminar except Denver, which Dr. Johnny Alvarado teaches.

What does the day cover?

Classroom Management: the Time To Teach system, start to finish. Teaching your rules and routines so they hold, Refocus instead of repeated warnings, reading the room, and what to do the moment prevention fails. You leave with the manual and a plan for Monday.

How do the graduate credits work?

Credits are through UMass Global, a regionally accredited university. The Seat + 4 Graduate Credits ticket includes 4 graduate credits, the one-day maximum. With Seat Only you can add 1 to 4 at checkout ($110 for the first, $100 each after that). Your transcript will read Classroom Management. We handle enrollment and email you the paperwork after you register. Coursework is completed after the seminar.

Can my school pay with a purchase order?

Yes. Choose “Purchase order” at checkout. Your seats are held the moment you submit, and we send an invoice and our W-9 within one business day. Checks are welcome too.

What if I have to cancel?

Full refund up to 10 days before the event. Any time after that, send a colleague in your place at no charge. If weather closes the event, you choose a transfer or a refund.

I registered several teachers. Does my principal really attend free?

Yes. Register 5 or more paid seats from one building on one order and you can add your principal as a complimentary guest. The free seat doesn’t count toward the 5.

Is the manual included with the virtual seminars?

Yes. For the virtual seminars the Resource Manual ships to the address you give us at checkout, so have it in hand before the session.
